I was reading the news and just loved this quote by Omar Bahlaiwi (Secretary General for the Saudi International Trade Committee), who noted that while it was in Saudi Arabia's interest to develop stronger ties with the Chinese, it could not let go of the security guarantees provided by the Americans:


"We are in a Catholic marriage with America," Bahlaiwa said, emphasizing that divorce is unthinkable. "But we are also Muslims - we can have more than one wife."
